Food and Music Festival
What is free at the Food and Music Festival?
The concerts and family activities are free. Guests also receive free food, drinks (including alcoholic beverages for guests 21+ with photo ID), and Emory swag while supplies last.
What about the food trucks?
The Food and Music Festival will also include Atlanta food trucks with items for purchase.
When is the live music?
The Food and Music Festival will feature a variety of live musical acts from noon to 4:30 p.m.
Where can I watch the parade?
Catch the campus parade featuring student floats and organizations, and local marching band as they circle the Quad during one of Emory’s favorite Homecoming traditions! The parade will appear on the Quad at approx. 1:30 p.m.
What time is the Food and Music Festival?
The festival is 12:00 – 4:30 p.m. with check-in opening at 11:30 a.m.
Where do I check-in?
Check-in at the west entrance by the Administration Building or the east entrance by Candler Library. Want to breeze through check-in even faster? Check your email or text Saturday morning to self check-in from your phone and show your green checkmark to receive your festival wristband and jump into the fun!
Is this event family-friendly?
The Food and Music Festival is family friendly, with many activities, food options, and musical acts for guests of all ages to enjoy.
Where can I meet up with my group?
Visit Affinity Village at the Food and Music Festival to meet up with your group and interact with Emory’s schools, networks, Greek life, athletics, campus departments, and more.
Where do I park?
Parking is available in the Peavine Deck and Lot on Eagle Row. Guests will be directed to overflow lots on campus if needed. Ride share options like Uber and Lyft are also encouraged.
Are shuttles provided?
Guests can enjoy shuttles from the Peavine Deck to the Food and Music Festival.
Is there a dress code?
There is no official dress code. We encourage casual and comfortable attire. Many guests enjoy wearing their favorite Emory gear/colors. Since the event will take place on a variety of surfaces including grass, we recommend low-heeled shoes.

Is Oxford hosting a Family Weekend this year?
Yes! Oxford College will host its own Family Weekend in conjunction with the Emory Ideas Festival the weekend before Homecoming and Family Weekend in Atlanta, October 17 - 19, 2025. Oxford families are welcome to attend both weekends if they’d like, Oxford’s for activities on the Oxford campus, and Homecoming and Family Weekend for the full Emory community celebration in Atlanta. Is there a Homecoming discount at the bookstore?
Yes! Enjoy 10% off Emory gear and merchandise during Homecoming and Family Weekend. Use code PRIDE25 in-store, online, or at the festival pop-up shop. The discount is valid October 23–26. (Exclusions apply.)
Alumni Reunions and Kickoff Party
What is included at the Alumni Reunions and Kickoff Party?
Your ticket includes entry to the ultimate alumni party on campus! Guests have access to a variety of food stations, open bar, reunion spaces, affinity hangouts, and live entertainment. This is the perfect time to reconnect with your friends and make more amazing Emory memories!
What kind of food and beverage will be available?
A variety of small bites, sweet and savory, will be available for guests. There will also be open bars featuring alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Is this event family-friendly?
The Alumni Reunions and Kickoff Party is an adults-only event where you can reconnect with your fellow alumni and Emory friends. The Food and Music Festival on Saturday, October 25, is a family-friendly event with activities, food options, and musical acts for guests of all ages to enjoy.

Where can I meet up with my fellow alumni?
Alumni are encouraged to reconnect with their friends and classmates at the Alumni Reunions and Kickoff Party on Friday, October 24, from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Be sure to register for this special event. Make it extra nostalgic and meet up with your friends at your favorite spot on campus before walking over to the party!
Where do I park?
Parking is available in the Oxford Deck on Oxford Road NE. Ride share options like Uber and Lyft are also encouraged.
Is there a dress code?
There is no official dress code. Many guests enjoy casual or smart casual attire for the Alumni Reunions and Kickoff Party. Since the event will take place on grass, low-heeled shoes are recommended.
What hotels are available?
View a list of preferred Atlanta hotels for your trip back to campus and be sure to ask if Emory rates are available. Please note that fall weekends are busy in Atlanta, so we encourage you to confirm your lodging plans as soon as possible.
I’m celebrating a reunion but cannot make it to Atlanta for the party. How can I still mark the occasion?
We look forward to celebrating alumni at their reunions during Homecoming and Family Weekend, but we know many choose to mark their milestone by planning a special trip or social gathering with their former roommates, sorority/fraternity sisters/brothers, study abroad program participants, classmates, etc. Contact us and we will send you Emory swag to make your gathering reunion-official, and learn more ways to commemorate year-round.
